Saint George is a beautiful beach next to Naxos Town. It has been awarded "blue flag" for several years and is the best choice for those who do not want to leave the city. Perfectly organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds and a multitude of restaurants, traditional taverns, hotels and rooms rented.
The southern coast is considered one of the top beaches for water sports and especially for surfing. The fine sand and crystal clear shallow waters, make it a very attractive destination for families with young children.
Agios Prokopiοs is a beach with dozens of awards at national and international competitions. The awarded beach is 4 km from the town of Naxos. Being perfectly organized in the largest of its part, it is also a relaxed place, less crowded, on the coast of the western part, where the chapel named Saint Prokopios. In less than 2 meters from the sandy beach there are restaurants, taverns and cafes. On the east side there are souvenirs shops, super market, cafes and car and motorcycle rental offices.
Addition entire the surrounding area has an abundance of rooms and hotels. Moreover beach is available for many water sports such as windsurf, beach volley, cubes, water bikes, while for those who are fascinated by nature, a reference point in the region is the salt lake or "red lake".
Agia Anna beach is a natural continuation of the beach of Agios Prokopios, and is one of the most famous beaches of Naxos. The 70s and 80s formed the base for young Greeks and foreign travelers and lovers of camping holidays in a pristine beach. Nowadays, St. Anna, as beautiful as before, is organized and offers much more excitement. The picturesque local fishermen port is located in the middle of the endless sandy beach.
There are umbrellas and lounge chairs in the largest of its part and in front of beach bars there are dozens of wonderful restaurants that can enchant you with their gastronomy. On the edge of the beach there is a chapel located with beach's name. Small sheltered bays are also to be found offering more peace and relaxation. A wooden ramp between the beach and the cedar forest leads to the chapel and that area is ideal for walks. Agia Anna also offers many options for accommodation in studios or hotels close to the sea.
The 60s and 70s was the favorite beach of Hippies. Nowadays, Plaka beach satisfies every kind of visitor as it provides traditional taverns, cafes, hotels and rooms which make it one of the most popular beaches in the Naxos Island.
It is the natural continuation of St. Anna and extension of Agios Prokopios with endless sandy beach, blue water overlooking Glaronisia and Paros. The trademark of Plaka beach are formed on the back of beach and cedars grow near the sea.
On the southwest coast of Naxos, between Plaka and Mikri Vigla, small consecutive coves constitute Orkos beach. Shaded by cedar which grow in the coast, with thick sand and clear blue waters it is ideal for tranquility and isolation lovers.
Mikri Vigla is large in length and its beauty is divided by a rock into two parts, the "Virgin" in the north and "Harbour" in the south. The "Virgin" is ideal for windsurfing, and is considered one of the best beaches in Greece for kite surfing, since the bay is closed and the air is imaginary for jumps and flights.
The "Harbor" is ideal for swimming, relaxing and playing in the sand as width of its golden sands exceeds 30 meters. Α traditional tavern at the edge of Mikri Vigla offers food and entertainment.
Kastraki is a cove located next to Mikri Vigla. It combines thin white sand and large smooth pebbles which in combination with the blue tranquil water make Kastraki attractive destination for swimming and relaxed sunbathing.

Pyrgaki is a nice sandy beach southwest of Naxos. It is a huge beach, overlooking the island of Iraklia and the island of Ios, ideal for rest and relaxation. It never gets very crowded.
Agiassos beach covers a length of 750 meters of the southwest coast of the island remaining one of the most pristine beaches of Naxos. It is a beautiful beach with clear sand and crystal waters.
